Great Dunmow was an exciting installation for our crew, as it contained a massive World Map which measured eleven metres wide by eight metres high. The World Map contained over one hundred and fifty major countries and is an excellent tool for Geography.
What we did here was to combine the World Map with a large British Isles map and a compass showing magnetic north. This work has now been designated as the official geography area at Great Dunmow.
As well as installing the maps there were a variety of other markings laid, below are just a few of the photos taken at Great Dunmow. The Head Teacher, Mrs Ruck said:
"The children will love this, in fact our geography teacher Mrs Bridget O’Reilly has created some games and questions for use with the world map so it is going to be put to immediate and constructive use. An excellent job, well done!"
